Telecommunication Tower Application 48
Piedmont 'Flectric Mamhenchip Coro
that the tower is constructed so as to support the PEMC antennas
and is equipped to support as many as five (5) other antenna
systems. PEMC is willing to make the site available to other
antenna systems for a fee. PEMC has also offered the Orange
County Sheriff's office space on the tower at no- charge.
d) Other information required at time of submittal includes the
following:
1) The PEMC radio system is a trunked two -way
VHF system and does not utilize cellular
technology. The frequency range for PEMC is
typically 153MHz while cellular technology is
1900MHz. Therefore no hand -off from site to site
is applicable for this system.
2) Propagation studies for the proposed site are
included in Tab 5 of this Application Package.
One study is included for the "talk -out" coverage
in which the radio repeater is sending information
to a mobile and a "talk- back" coverage in which
the mobile is sending information to the radio
repeater.
3) A search area is not applicable for this tower since
PEMC has determined that the tower will be more
secure located on their existing property.
4) The tower is a 350' self- supporting model # NSX
as manufactured by Nello Corporation and
indicated on the drawings included in Tab 9 of
this Application Package. The antennas will be
Andrew DB264 antennas with 6dBm of gain
mounted at 350'AGL. The total effective radiated
power of the site will be approximately 160watts.
5) The VHF frequencies assigned to this site are:
1. 153.530
2. 153.470
3. 153.605
The modulation scheme for the proposed radio
will be analog with an emission code of
11K2F1D per the FCC license included in Tab 4
Prepared by:
Alexander Utility Engineering, Inc. 6/28/2006 Page 3 of 6
