Telecommunication Tower Application 48 <br />Piedmont 'Flectric Mamhenchip Coro <br />that the tower is constructed so as to support the PEMC antennas <br />and is equipped to support as many as five (5) other antenna <br />systems. PEMC is willing to make the site available to other <br />antenna systems for a fee. PEMC has also offered the Orange <br />County Sheriff's office space on the tower at no- charge. <br />d) Other information required at time of submittal includes the <br />following: <br />1) The PEMC radio system is a trunked two -way <br />VHF system and does not utilize cellular <br />technology. The frequency range for PEMC is <br />typically 153MHz while cellular technology is <br />1900MHz. Therefore no hand -off from site to site <br />is applicable for this system. <br />2) Propagation studies for the proposed site are <br />included in Tab 5 of this Application Package. <br />One study is included for the "talk -out" coverage <br />in which the radio repeater is sending information <br />to a mobile and a "talk- back" coverage in which <br />the mobile is sending information to the radio <br />repeater. <br />3) A search area is not applicable for this tower since <br />PEMC has determined that the tower will be more <br />secure located on their existing property. <br />4) The tower is a 350' self- supporting model # NSX <br />as manufactured by Nello Corporation and <br />indicated on the drawings included in Tab 9 of <br />this Application Package. The antennas will be <br />Andrew DB264 antennas with 6dBm of gain <br />mounted at 350'AGL. The total effective radiated <br />power of the site will be approximately 160watts. <br />5) The VHF frequencies assigned to this site are: <br />1. 153.530 <br />2. 153.470 <br />3. 153.605 <br />The modulation scheme for the proposed radio <br />will be analog with an emission code of <br />11K2F1D per the FCC license included in Tab 4 <br />Prepared by: <br />Alexander Utility Engineering, Inc. 6/28/2006 Page 3 of 6 <br />
