These standards include maintaining or promoting the public health, safety, and general welfare, <br />maintaining or enhancing the value of contiguous property, and the use being in compliance with the general plan for the <br />physical development of the County. <br />The Planning Staff has reviewed the application, the site plan, and all supporting documentation and has found that the <br />applicant has submitted information for the specific standards and requirements. <br />Provided the Board of County Commissioners finds in the affirmative on the specific and general standards, the Planning <br />Staff recommends approval of the request. The Planning Staff does however, recommend the attachment of conditions <br />to the approval which are specified as follows: <br />That a telecommunications tower be added to the listing of permitted uses in the zoning district. <br />2. Any lighting on the Telecommunications tower shall be shielded so as not to be seen from the ground for a <br />distance of one mile at the height of twelve degrees (12 °) vertical. <br />3. The navigational lighting shall be white, rather than red, and the strobe period shall be the longest under FCC <br />regulations. <br />4. The height of the telecommunications tower may not exceed three hundred fifty (350) feet, including the <br />30 -foot antenna at the top of the tower. <br />5.
