108 <br />Security Guidelines for the Electricity Sector. <br />Physical Security <br />• roving security patrols or fixed station security staffing; <br />alarms, CCTV, and other security systems reporting to the facility or to a <br />central security station which can then be evaluated and company <br />personnel or law enforcement authorities dispatched to investigate a <br />potential problem; <br />• vehicle barriers; <br />• projectile barriers; <br />• security survey program; <br />• adequate lighting; <br />• signage; and <br />• a comprehensive security awareness program. <br />Physical security systems should be augmented based on changes in threat <br />levels, scenarios, and categories. In designing a physical security system, the <br />objective of the aggressor should be considered.
