APPROVED 9/2/2010 <br /> MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> June 15, 2010 <br /> 7:00 p.m. <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, June <br /> 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill, NC. <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Valerie P. Foushee, and Commissioners <br /> Alice M. Gordon, Barry Jacobs, Pam Hemminger, Mike Nelson, Bernadette Pelissier, and <br /> Steve Yuhasz <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT County Manager Frank Clifton, Assistant County Managers <br /> Willie Best and Gwen Harvey, and Clerk to the Board Donna S. Baker (All other staff members <br /> will be identified appropriately below) <br /> NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE PERMANENT <br /> AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br /> 1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda <br /> The Chair asked to add a closed session item: <br /> Pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3): "To consult with an attorney employed or retained <br /> by the public body in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and <br /> the public body, which privilege is hereby acknowledged." <br /> The Chair also asked to add item 3-b (yellow sheet), Resolution of Recognition for <br /> Orange County Register of Deeds Joyce Pearson. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Hemminger, seconded by Commissioner Yuhasz <br /> to approve adding the two additional items. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> The Chair also asked to defer item 4-f, Agreement Renewal with UNC Family Medicine <br /> and Health Department for Physician Services. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Hemminger, seconded by Commissioner Nelson <br /> to approve deferring item 4-f. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> The Chair acknowledged the items at the County Commissioners' places: <br /> - Proposed item 3B- Resolution of Recognition for Register of Deeds —Joyce <br /> Pearson <br /> - A pink sheet related to item 4-b -Appointments <br /> - Light green sheet related to item 4-w Appropriate Funds to Existing County Capital <br /> Projects and Transfer Funds to the County Capital Reserve Fund <br />
