Unexpended funds currently available in the <br />Parking Improvements Capital Project total $140,000. <br />The attached capital project ordinances, along with column #8 of Attachment 1, reflect <br />the transfer of funds from each County capital project identified in the chart above and <br />from the County's General Fund to the Efland Sewer Construction Capital Project. <br />Should the Board choose to defer a portion of the unavailable funds in the Parking <br />Improvements Capital Project in lieu of a project identified in the chart above, staff will <br />make the correction to the appropriate capital project ordinance as the Board decides. <br />5) Department on Aging <br />The Department on Aging has received the following additional funds for the current fiscal <br />year for the following programs: <br />a. Frail Elderly — additional donated funds of $550 this fiscal year for the Eldercare <br />division's Frail Elderly Program to be used to assist at -risk older adults in maintaining <br />their independent living. <br />b. Community Based Services — additional class and rental fees of $7,000 received at <br />the senior centers, to be used to pay instructors and other class expenses at the <br />three senior centers. <br />c. Family Caregiver Program — donations received totaling $2,000 from service <br />recipients of the National Family Caregiver Support Program to be used to provide <br />additional services. <br />d. RSVP — additional donated funds of $25 to the Retired Senior Volunteer Program to <br />be used to help offset volunteer recognition costs. <br />e. Wellness Program - additional $1,000 in fees collected from participants during this <br />fiscal year in the "Fit Feet" clinic program. The new program provides an opportunity for local <br />organizations to utilize bond money to purchase land that becomes available in the <br />community before the establishment of a firm development plan. At its June 13, 2006 <br />meeting, Commissioners awarded housing bond funds totaling $116,250 to Habitat for <br />Humanity for the purpose of purchasing land in the Highland Woods subdivision in the <br />Northern Fairview community in Hillsborough.
