': j <br />rl ~ <br />Commissioner Willhoit suggested developing an educational brochure to <br />distribute to citizens which would list all the options and the cost involved. This <br />could be done in the form of a one page add in the newspap~~~: ~~ <br />John Link indicated he would provide information to the Soard on the cost of" <br />manned versus unmanned sites using either 40 cubic yard boxes or continuing with the <br />present 8 cubic yard boxes. He will include all costs including transportation. <br />2. POVERTY FORUM UPDATE <br />Albert Kittrell announced that the forum will be held on November 29 at the <br />Kenan Center. Gloria Williams, Executive Director of JOCCA gave a brief overview of <br />the program planned for that day. This report is in the permanent agenda file in the <br />Clerk's Dffice. The major goal is to educate and seek new resources far the County. <br />xTEMS"FOR ECp ISION ~ CONSENT AGENDA <br />item Fl wwas removed from the Consent Agenda to be considered as a separate item. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to <br />approve those items on the Consent Agenda as listed below, <br />1. BID AWARD - HAZARDOUS MATERIALS VEHICLE <br />Removed and listed at the end of the Consent Agenda. <br />2. PERSONNEL ORDINANCE REVISION <br />To approve the following revision to Article III Section 1 of the Personnel <br />Ordinance: <br />1.1 The standard work week shall be 12:01 a.m. Monday until 12:00 midnight <br />on Sunday, a time span of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) houx <br />periods. Exceptions may be granted by the County Manager in an effort <br />to meet scheduling needs and be in compliance with the Fair Labor -:.:``' <br />Standards Act. <br />1.2 The standard work hours shall be from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with one <br />hour for lunch. Exceptions: Law enforcement officers and Emergency <br />Services employees' work schedule shall be established by the respective <br />department head and approved by the County Manager. <br />1.3 Full-time employees normally work five (5) eight (8) hour days,per week- <br />[1.4 Eliminated due to duplication from 1.1] <br />1.0 THE WORK WEFK <br />CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT <br />1.1 The standard work week shall be from 12:01 A.M.
