DALE WALL, a resident of The Trails, stated that only residents of Summerwind <br />had received notices about the proposed change. He also mentioned that the development <br />is over l0 years old and already have assigned house numbers. He opposed changing the <br />house numbers. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br />CHAIRMAN CAREY indicated that some time ago the Board of Commissioners changed its <br />advertisement on these house numbering items so that the public would not be misled. <br />The County does have a policy of moving in the direction of changing house numbers in <br />the county to 4 digit numbers. The purpose of these Public Hearings is for the public <br />to bring up special problems to enable the County to address those before final action <br />is taken. <br />b Rural Route 3 = Hillsborou h <br />The presentation was made by Marvin Collins. In summary this item is to <br />receive citizen comment on the postal service routes proposed for a change from existing <br />rural box numbers to a system of permanently assigned hause numbers for Rural Route 8 - <br />Hillsborough. <br />COMMISSIONER HALKIOTIS requested an answer to the question about why all the homes <br />were not notified. <br />PLANNER DON POWELL stated that a complete mailing went out to all residences in The <br />Trails Subdivision. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPEN FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS. <br />MR. .7AY ZARAGOZA, owner of houses at 2303 and 2319 New Sharon Church Road, <br />indicated that these houses are off the road. He asked that consideration be given to <br />the numbering of those houses that are back off the road so that those on the road will <br />be numbered properly. <br />DON POWELL stated that this <br />indicated that he would go over <br />the appearance of jumping around <br />development should occur. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS GLOSED. <br />jumping around is not actually what is happening.
