<br />amendments to Article l2 of the Zoning Ordinance, Landscaping and Screening <br />Requirements. The purpose of the proposed amendments to Article 12 is to provide mare <br />consistency between the subdivision landscape regulations and the requirements for <br />landscaping and screening contained in the Zoning Ordinance. <br />Article 7.20,4J, Landscaping and Screening (Mobile Home Parks), is the only section <br />of the Ordinance which refers to a specific requirement contained in Article l2. The <br />language of this section will be amended to reflect the proposed buffer standards while <br />maintaining the original intent of the buffer around mobile home parks described in <br />Article 7.20.4J. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Halkiatis, seconded by Commissioner Hartwell, to <br />refer this item to the Planning Board for a recommendation to be returned to the Board <br />no sooner than August lst. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />5. SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS TEXT AMENDMENTS <br />a. Section III-B - Subdivision Classification <br />' The purpose of this item is to receive citizen comments on the proposed <br />amendment to Section III-B of the Subdivision Regulations to revise the definition of <br />"Minor Subdivision". The proposed amendment would establish a twenty-four (24) month <br />time period during which a maximum of four (4) new lots may be created from an existing <br />lot. <br />THERE WERE NO QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS. <br />A motion was made by Chairman Carey, seconded by Commissioner Hartwell, to refer <br />this item to the Planning Board for a recommendation to be returned to the Board no <br />' sooner than August lst, <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />b, Section IV-B-10 ~ Cluster Subdivisions <br />This proposed revision is a minor change to the application requirements <br />for Cluster Subdivision to provide consistency in requirements between major and minor <br />subdivisions. <br />THERE WERE NO QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS, <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, second by Commissioner Halkiotis, to <br />refer this item to the Planning Board for a recommendation to be returned to the Board <br />no sooner than August 1st, <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />With no further items to consider, Chairman Carey adjourned the meeting. The next <br />regular meeting of the Board will be held on June 5, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. in the Courtroom <br />of the Old Courthouse, Hillsborough, NC, <br />Moses Carey, Jr., Chairman <br />Beverly Blythe, Clerk <br />
