Matters not on the Printed Aqenda <br /> Guerry O'Briant read a prepared statement: <br /> To: Orange County Commissioners <br /> From Guerry O'Briant/Marie Ministero <br /> Date: June 1, 2010 <br /> Subject: Transcription errors/over charged property taxes PIN #9845886455 <br /> In May 2005 Marie and I moved to Orange County after being moved out of the home my dad <br /> was born in 1901 by the North Carolina Railroad Company under threat of condemnation. As <br /> we were physically moving in, two Orange County tax assessors came to appraise the house <br /> and garage. At that time, my wife and I told them that the garage was not going to be <br /> completed because the Orange County Planning Department told us that the area over the <br /> garage could not be habitated. My two sisters, Alene Thomas and Linda Justice, were helping <br /> with the move and heard us tell the assessors that garage has no plans to be finished. They <br /> proceeded to look over the house, basement, and garage. It was evident that the basement <br /> and area over the garage were not completed and with no plans to be completed (Reference: <br /> section 5, page 1, highlighted).
