Harvey, Planner III, 245 -2597 <br />PURPOSE: To receive an overview of the first draft Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), <br />review next steps, and discuss. <br />BACKGROUND: At the May 24, 2010 Quarterly Public Hearing, the BOCC received a staff <br />update on the status of the UDO project and approved a revised timetable (Attachment 2) for its <br />completion. <br />Since then, the following tasks have been completed: <br />• Planning Board review of preliminary draft sections (stream buffers, lighting, signs, <br />parking, landscaping, conditional use, subdivisions, and general provisions), <br />• Advisory board courtesy review of preliminary draft sections (stream buffers, lighting, <br />signs, parking, and landscaping), <br />• Public Information Session held on June 16 (Attachment 3), <br />• Public Information Session scheduled September 8t", and <br />• First draft UDO. <br />SCOPE: At the August 24, 2009 BOCC meeting, staff was authorized to begin the process of <br />developing the UDO. Specifically, staff was tasked with the following: <br />• Incorporate all land use development regulations (i.e. Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision <br />Ordinance, Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control, and Floodplain Ordinance) into one <br />document, <br />
