She explained that funding to implement the Plan will be <br />requested through the regular budget process of the County and also from other outside <br />resources. <br />Commissioner Marshall complimented Sylvia Price and the EDG and Executive <br />Committee stating that the report is forward looking and dynamic with enough <br />flexibility to fit in with other County programs and changes as they occur. <br />Commissioner Halkiotis commended the document and those who put it together. <br />He.stated that if the County is going to provide those services that a lot of people <br />in this County expect in the next few years, an ever-expanding tax base will be <br />needed. <br />-County Manager .Tohn Link added his congratulations to Sylvia Price, the EDC <br />and the Executive Committee, and indicated he would be recommending at the next <br />meeting that the County adopt the Plan. Implementation would begin in the next fiscal <br />year and funds would be appropriated to proceed with the plan over several years in <br />order to reach the goals which are outlined in the document. <br />The Board agreed to place the Plan on the agenda for March 21 for public <br />hearing to receive public comments. It was also agreed to place it on Items for <br />Decision. <br />2.
