She explained that funding to implement the Plan will be requested through the regular budget process of the County and also from other outside resources. Commissioner Marshall complimented Sylvia Price and the EDG and Executive Committee stating that the report is forward looking and dynamic with enough flexibility to fit in with other County programs and changes as they occur. Commissioner Halkiotis commended the document and those who put it together. He.stated that if the County is going to provide those services that a lot of people in this County expect in the next few years, an ever-expanding tax base will be needed. -County Manager .Tohn Link added his congratulations to Sylvia Price, the EDC and the Executive Committee, and indicated he would be recommending at the next meeting that the County adopt the Plan. Implementation would begin in the next fiscal year and funds would be appropriated to proceed with the plan over several years in order to reach the goals which are outlined in the document. The Board agreed to place the Plan on the agenda for March 21 for public hearing to receive public comments. It was also agreed to place it on Items for Decision. 2. REPORT ON MODEL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS This item was deleted and will be placed on the agenda for March 21, 1989. F.
