~~ U <br /> <br />WENDY KIMBALL, resident of White Cross community, requested that Old Greensboro <br />Road be corrected to read Old Greensboro Highway. ~-~ <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Hartwell to <br />approve the proposed house and building numbers, followed by notification of the <br />Chapel Hill Postmaster and the N.C. Department of Transportation as required by G.S. <br />153A-240 with the correction of Old Greensboro Road to Old Greensboro Highway. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />'b. Rural Route 1 = Hillsborough <br />The presentation was made by Marvin Collins. In summary this item is to <br />receive citizen comment on the proposed house and building numbers to be assigned to <br />Rural Route 1 in the County, served by the Hillsborough Post Office. To be considered <br />is that portion of St. Mary's Road northeastward from New Sharon Church Road to Durham <br />County, and including Durmont Drive, Oak Knob Court, Cedar Trail and Stagg Road. Also <br />included is that portion of Guess Road from Durham County to Walker's Farm Road, <br />including Summer Lane and Deerfield Road; westward along Walker's Farm Road to New <br />Sharon Church Road, including Devonwood Road, Lansdale Road, Island Road and Russell <br />Circle, then south along New Sharon Church Road to Schley Road and including Richard <br />Lane. <br />NO COMMENTS WERE MADE <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Hartwell, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis, <br />to approve the house and building renumbering as recommended. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />c. Rural Route 13 (Partial) - Chapel Hill <br />The presentation was made by Marvin Collins. In summary this item is to <br />receive citizen comment on the proposed house and building numbers to be assigned to <br />Rural Route 13 (Partial/Smith Level Rd) in the county served by the Chapel Hill Post <br />Office on Estes Drive. Rural Route 13 (Partial/Smith Level Road) Chapel Hill consists <br />of that portion of Smith Level Road southward from NC 54 Bypass to Chatham County, and <br />including Clarence Drive. The houses that are in Carrboro's postal jurisdiction have <br />been removed from this item. These houses will be assigned numbers by the town of <br />Garrboro. <br />NO COMMENTS WERE MADE <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Chairman Gorey, to <br />approve the house and building renumbering as recommended. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />2. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ORDINANCE <br />The presentation was made by Marvin Collins. In summary this item is to <br />receive public comment on an Environmental Impact Ordinance. Development occurring in <br />environmentally sensitive areas, or development which may have detrimental <br />environmental impacts, would be required to submit an Environmental Assessment. If <br />review of the Assessment indicates that significant environmental impacts will occur <br />as a result of the project, then an Environmental Impact Statement would be required. <br />The Ordinance specifies criteria to be used if submittal, of an Environmental <br />
