She listed the strengths of allocating these funds on a per pupil basis. <br />RA THUR WHITTED, Co-Chair of the County Advisory Board on Agixig, read the <br />letter reference above from Betty Landsberger. <br />DANIEL DETER, teacher in the Orange County Schools, spoke in support of the <br />CIP and the per pupil allocation for capital funds. He stressed that both schools <br />need money far education and that education is the most important priority in <br />Orange County. <br />CHRISTOPHER COOKE, parent of two children in the Orange County school system, <br />spoke about the difference in the educational needs of the two school systems in <br />Orange County. He spoke in support of the per pupil allocation stating that it is <br />more objective. He emphasized that excellence in education is usually a minority <br />paint o£ view. <br />MAX KENNEDY, member of the Orange County 5choal Soard, spoke about the <br />relationship between the two school systems. He stated there is an honest <br />difference of opinion between the two school systems on the distribution of the <br />pay-as-you-go funds. He.emphasized that the two boards have~no problem in their <br />relationship with each other and will not let this become an issue. <br />With no further citizen comments, the public hearing was closed. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Chair Carey adjourned the meeting.
