of A1ezt Cable TV Franchise from Wometco to Cablevision Industries as stated <br />below: <br />A RESOLUTION GRANT MUNICIPAL APPROVAL <br />TO A CHANGE IN CONTROL OF <br />ALERT CABLE TV OF NORTH CAROLINA, INC. <br />WHEREAS, Alert Cable TV of North Garolina, Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary <br />of Wometco Cable TV, Inc., is a cable television franchisee in Unincorporated <br />Orange County; and <br />WHEREAS, Wometco Cable TV, Inc. is presently controlled by members of its <br />management and investors associated with the Robert M. Bass Group, Inc., and <br />WHEREAS, Wometco Cable TV, Tne. has requested approval of a transaction <br />involving a merger with Cablevision Industries Corporation (or a Company under <br />common ownership or control with Cablevision) which will result in a transfer <br />of ultimate control of Alert Cable TV of North Carolina, Inc., all as set <br />forth in the letter application dated September 2, 1988. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that Orange County hereby grants its <br />approval, subject to FCC approval, as requested, to the ultimate change in <br />control of Alert Cable TV of North Carolina, Inc., a cable television <br />franchisee in Unincorporated Orange County, all as set forth in the letter <br />application dated September 2, 1988. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />ITEMS FOR DECISION-REGULAR AGENDA <br />1. ENDORSEMENT OF WORLD UNIVERSITY GAMES <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Commissioner <br />~~., Hartwell to endorse a region-wide sporting event to be called The World <br />University Games to be held for two week in July, 1993. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />2. DECLARATxON OF BOND REFERENDUM RESULTS <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Orange, North Carolina, was held in the Courtroom of the old Post <br />Office on Franklin Street, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at 7:30 <br />P.M, on November 15, 1988. <br />Present: Acting Chair Moses Carey, presiding, and Commissioners <br />Halkiotis and Marshall. <br />Absent: Hartwell and Willhoit <br />The Board of Commissioners received from the Orange County Board of <br />Elections a certified copy of the proceedings of said Board of <br />Elections taken on November 10, 1988, evidencing said Board's <br />determination of the results of the canvass of the returns of the <br />special bond referendum held in the Gounty of Orange on November 8, <br />1988 upon the questions of approving $22,000,000 School Bonds, <br />$7,000,000 Public Building Bonds and $1,000,000 Water Bonds of said <br />County. <br />After said proceedings had been considered and reviewed by the Board <br />_ of Commissioners, Commissioner Carey introduced the following <br />
