ITEMS FOR DECISION = CONSENT AGENDA <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Hartwell, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to <br />take the following action on.items listed on the consent agenda. <br />1 MCDEVCO CONTRAG AS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT FOR AIRPORT PROJECT <br />Approve and authorize the Acting Chair_to sign a contract with Mcpevco <br />Associates, Raleigh, NC far management services associated with the Orange County <br />Airport Project. <br />2. CONTRACT APPROVAL ~ UP BLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING <br />Approve and authorize the Acting Chair to sign a contract with Holt <br />Construction Company for the purpose of constructing a building to house <br />administration offices at the Public Works Department in the amount of $127,560. This <br />was approved contingent upon review and approval by the County Attorney. <br />3 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT = PROJECT ORDINANCE <br />Adopt the project ordinance for the 1988 Community Development Block Grant as <br />stated below: , <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT - 198$ <br />Be it ordained by the Board of Gommissioners of Orange County, North Carolina that, <br />pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the <br />following grant project ordinance is hereby adopted: Section 1. The project <br />authorized is the Community Development project described in the work statement <br />contained in the grant agreement 88-C-7730 between this unit and the Department of <br />Natural Resources and Community Development. This project is more familiarly known as <br />the 1988 Community Development Project. <br />Section 2. The officers of this unit are hereby directed to proceed with the grant <br />project within the terms of the grant documents, the rules and regulations of the <br />Department of Natural Resources and Community Development and the budget contained <br />herein. <br />Section 3. The following revenues are anticipated to be available to complete this <br />project <br />Community Development Grant $ 600,000 <br />• Program Income 300 <br />Total Revenues $ 600,300 <br />Section 4. The following amounts are appropriated far the project: <br />Acquisition $ 3,000 <br />Street Improvements 99,925 <br />Sewer Improvements 97,688 <br />Water Improvements 64,718 <br />Clearance Activities 1,700 <br />Rehabilitation of Privately Owned Dwellings 185,128 <br />Administration 81,388 <br />Sewer Improvements - Local Option E6~,753 <br />Total Appropriations $ 600,300 <br />Sectian 5. The finance officer is hereby directed to maintain within the Grant <br />Project Fund sufficient specific detailed accounting records to provide the accounting <br />to the grantor agency required by the grant agreement and federal and state <br />regulations. <br />Section 6. funds may be advanced from the General Funds for the purpose of making <br />payments as due. Reimbursement requests should be made to the grantor agency in an <br />ozderly and timely manner. <br />
