33 <br />Work Plan /Performance Measures <br />w <br />Trained volunteers will serve both Meals -on- Wheels programs to (i) deliver meals to the target <br />population 5 days a week, (2) restock pantry, package meals and occasionally bake at home. <br />Volunteers pick up the coolers /caddies around ii:oo a.m. and deliver the meals to the recipients in <br />southern and northern Orange County and then return the empty coolers and caddies to the pick -up <br />site. Each route takes approximately 1 - 1.5 hours. Volunteers may engage recipients in light <br />conversation, check on overall well-being and make referrals to case manager when necessary. <br />(Meals on Wheels- Chapel Hill - Carrboro and OCIM Meals on Wheels) <br />47 RSVP volunteers are assigned delivery routes and serve an estimated 2444 hours annually. RSVP <br />volunteers will serve approximately 14o homebound individuals annually. A catering company <br />prepares and packs meals into coolers and delivers the ordered number of meals to the Meals -on- <br />Wheels office at Binkley Baptist Church in Chapel Hill and the OCIM office in Hillsborough. RSVP <br />benefits package and recognition apply.
