Work Plan /Performance Measures <br />-- Remove invasive plants, stabilize stream banks with plantings to improve erosion control, maintain <br />the 8o acres of Piedmont woodlands <br />- -Lead educational group tours such as on historical or native uses of plants, plants native to the <br />three geographic regions of the state or general tours of the Garden, Mason Farm and Coker <br />Arboretum. Younger groups will be exposed to carnivorous plants, water plants, pine trees and the <br />need and effects of burning, and the overall immensity of Garden <br />- -Serve as Seed Volunteers as a group to separate Garden -grown native plant seeds from seed heads <br />and package them as free or for -sale distribution items to schools, museums and other groups. <br />- 80,00o visitors annually will be served directly and indirectly by activities of trained RSVP <br />volunteers. <br />2- Approximately io,000 seed packets will be distributed to schools and various organizations for free <br />or at minimal cost. <br />INDICATORS:i- # of visitors served 2- #seed packets made and distributed <br />TARGET: <br />Page 28 <br />a! <br />
