Department on Aging <br />3. The Department on Aging has received grant funds totaling $2,500 from Partners Choice <br />and a donation of $300 from the Cedars of Chapel Hill for sponsorship in a Wellness Mall <br />Walking Program. This is a joint venture between University Mall in Chapel Hill, the Cop <br />Shop — a division of the community policing for the Chapel Hill Police Department located <br />within the mall - and the Wellness Program of Orange County. Funds will be used to <br />develop a daily walking program with incentives for walkers and a monthly healthy breakfast <br />with a health and wellness related speaker for ten different months a year. This budget <br />amendment provides for the receipt of these funds totaling $2,800. (See Attachment 3, <br />Senior Citizen Health Promotion Program Grant Project Ordinance) <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approve the attached budget ordinance and grant project ordinance amendments. <br />
