Senior Citizen Health <br />Promotion Program Grant <br />Project Ordinance <br />1 <br />X15 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. rj -d <br />PUBLIC HEARING: (Y /N) No <br />(INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Donna Dean Coffey, (919) 245 -2151 <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget ordinance and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal <br />year 2005 -06. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Department of Social Services <br />1. The Department of Social Services has received donations totaling $575 from citizens that <br />are set -aside in a special Adoption Enhancement Fund (outside the General Fund). These <br />funds, received through the Triangle Community Foundation, will help send foster care <br />children to summer camp. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these <br />donated funds for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, column #1) <br />Health Department <br />2. The Orange County Health Department's Division of Environmental Health has received <br />notification of additional State funds of $8,295 in Food and Lodging inspection revenues. <br />These funds reflect a performance -based distribution of FY 2004 -05 Food and Lodging Fees <br />based on the County's compliance with mandated inspections of food and lodging <br />establishments. These funds will be used to purchase technology equipment for the food <br />and lodging inspectors. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional <br />funds.
