Tt,e rezoning of these lands to <br />PID kill prohibit commercial, industrial and primary <br />residential construction khich wil] help preserve them for . <br />education and limited public use. <br />Please allati"T me to focus on the Duke fiorest tracts to be <br />included in this rezoning khich are unique in their <br />educational value. Sections of Duke Forest to be ir,c]Lded <br />in this rezoning ti~ould be the 520 acre Eno Division, the <br />IoDD acre B1ackHOad Division, the 65D acre }3i1]sbornugh <br />Division and the 2D00 acre Korstian Division. PID zoning <br />Kill. help protect 4170 acres of environmentcl]y sensitive <br />and educationally irreplaceab]e land in Duke Forest xhich <br />lies in Orange Cvunt)*. Current research projects in Duke <br />Forest total 1.1 million dollars annua115'.
