STATEMENT OF JOHNNY KENNEDY <br />FOR SUBMISSION TO <br />THE ORANGE GO(Ih"iY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AND PLANNING BOARA <br />FOR CONSIAERATION CONCERNING THE <br />REZONING OF THREE PARCELS BELONGING <br />JOHNNY KENNEDY FROM GC-4 TO EC-S <br />DEAR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND PLANNING BOARD: <br />I moved to Orange County in 1985 with the specific intention upon <br />purchasing the property in question of running my business there. Since th <br />time X have.been involved in manufacturing and selling parts for s of buses, <br />doing mechanical work on school buses, refurbishing school ses, selling used <br />buses, selling used parts and remanufactured parts for buses, repairing and <br />servicing electronic blinkers for school buses, and assembly and packaging <br />operations for out of state and in state delivery. I sell school bus parts to <br />every county in North Carolina, I sell directly into five states, wholesale <br />into 10 states, and have WATS lines which incorporate all of the united States <br />east of the Mississippi River- <br />When I moved to Orange County I specifically chose this site because of <br />the way it was zoned. Since that time my business has grown and the space <br />seeds of my business have grown. In 1985 I did $x+04,008.00 5.n gross sales, in <br />1986 $479,151.00 in gross sales, and in 1987 $506,809.00 in gross sales. Our <br />projections for 1988. are at least $550,000.00 in gross sales- <br />-- Orange County school buses have purchased from me an a regular basis, <br />rebuilt differentials and transmissions, I have sold rebuilt. front-ends to <br />Durham County and Wake County. <br />
