-. <br />N~0 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO SECTION 3.9 OF THE LAND USE ELEMENT <br />(HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP) DF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />FDR ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners adopted the Oran~e_ Count <br />and Use P a on September 2, 1981; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has from time to time adopted <br />amendments to the Orange Counter and Use Plan because <br />Of <br />1. Changed ar changing conditions in a particular <br />area or areas of the County; <br />2. An error or omission in the Plan; ox' <br />3. A change in policies, objectives, principles, or <br />standards governing the physical development of the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Amendments to Sections 2.-2.12 through 2.12.14 of the <br />Orange County Zaning Ordinance, adapted by the Board of <br />Commissioners on April 4, 1988, redefined the nature, <br />intent and method of adopting the Cam rehensive Plan for <br />Orange Caunty; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned amendments included changing the <br />Orange Count~X Land Use Plan to the Land Use Element of <br />the Comprehensive Plan far Orange County ; and <br />WHEREAS, Article 2.2.13 of the Zaning Ordinance, as~ amended, <br />states that the Board of Commissioners, upon receipt of <br />a recommended Comprehensive Plan and portions thereof <br />from the Planning Board, shall adopt them by <br />resolutions; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held an May 23, 1988 for the <br />purpose of receiving citizen comment on amendments to <br />Section 3.9 of the Land Use Element (Hillsborough <br />Township) , Comer ehers i ve P lan f or Orange Caun,~v; and <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Planning Board, at its meeting of June <br />20, 1988, recommended adoption of amenament by <br />substitution to Section 3.9 of the Land Use Elementl <br />Com rehensive Plan for Orange County: <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Orange County Board of <br />
