~. . <br />~: •.~r <br />3'7 <br />WHEREAS, Article 2.2.13 of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, <br />states that the Board of Commissioners, upon <br />receipt of a recommended Comprehensive Plan and <br />portions thereof from the Planning Board, shall <br />adopt them by resolutions; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted on May 23, 1988 far <br />the purpose of designating and incorporating the <br />Cheeks Township Plan as a section of the Land Use <br />Element of the Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, following conclusion of the public hearing and the <br />receipt of the Planning Board recommendation, the <br />Board of Commissioners wishes to designate the <br />Cheeks Township Plan as a section of the Land Use <br />Element of the Com,_,prehensive Plan: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners that: <br />1. The draft Cheeks Township Plan is hereby <br />adopted and designated as Section 3.8 of the <br />Land Use Element of the Com rehensive Plan for <br />Oranoe County: N.C., including the following <br />changes made to the plan presented at public <br />hearing on May 23, 1988: <br />(a) The designation of a Rural Neighborhood <br />Activity Node at Efland-Cedar Grove Road <br />and Lebanon Road; <br />(b) The designation of Moorefields and <br />County-awned lands in the Seven Mile <br />Creek Basin as Public Interest Areas; <br />(c) The designation of additional Rural <br />Residential areas to the north of Lebanon <br />Road; <br />(d) The designation of the Back Creek Water <br />Supply Watershed in the northwest corner <br />of the Township as a Protected Watershed <br />Area; but <br />(e) Excluding the proposed expansion of the <br />commercial-industrial activity node as <br />requested in the citizen petitions of <br />Dolly Hunter and Dale Davis. <br />Adopted this day of <br />198 <br />
