~~ included in the Subdivision Regulations) <br />Planning Director Marvin Collins presented for Board consideration <br />proposed amendments to Section IV-B-5 and Section II of the Orange County <br />Subdivision Regulations. Section IV-B-5 of the Subdivision Regulations is <br />proposed to be amended by adding additional wording to address the incorporation <br />of provisions for flag lots in a subdivision lot layout. The County Attorney has <br />recommended that the "intent" subsection of the proposed Section IV-B-5 be <br />deleted in its entirety. The Planning Board and the Administration recommends <br />approval with the deletion as recommended by the County Attorney. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis <br />to approve the Planning Board and Administrations recommendation. <br />VOTE: UNANTMOUS. <br />3. Proposed Zonins Ordinance Text Amendments (Article 9 - Signs) <br />The presentation was made by Marvin Collins. It is proposed that Article <br />9.5 be amended to include the following sentence after the first <br />sentence: <br />"Any sign authorized by this ordinance may contain noncommercial <br />copy in lieu of any other copy." <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by Commissioner Carey <br />to approve the Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments to Article 9 - Signs as <br />recommended. by the. Planning Board and the Administration. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />4. Proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments (Article 6 Application of <br />Dimensional Requirements) (Article 22 - Definitions) <br />(A copy of the proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments is in the <br />permanent agenda file in the Ordinance) <br />Marvin Collins made the presentation. Section 6.2.3 of the Zoning <br />Ordinance is proposed to be amended to add a new section addressing flag lots. <br />Article 22 is proposed to be amended to add a definition of Flag Lot as well as <br />clarify what a flag lot is and provide a legal definition. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Hartwell, seconded by ..Commissioner Carey <br />to approve the proposed amendments as recommended by the Planning Board and the <br />Administration. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />5. Draft Cheeks Township Land Use Plan (A copy of the resolution is attached <br />to these minutes on page 3 -2,3 <br />The Presentation was made by Marvin Collins. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Hartwell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Halkiotis to approve the resolution, incorporating the proposed Section <br />3.8 (Cheeks Township) as part of the Land Use Element of the Orange <br />County Comprehensive Plan, including the following changes as recommended <br />by the Planning Board; <br />(1) The designation of a Rural Neighborhood Activity Node at Efland- <br />Cedar Grove Road and Lebanon Road; <br />(2) The designation of Moorefields and County-owned lands in the Seven <br />Mile Creek Basin as Public Interest Areas; <br />(3) The designation of additional Rural Residential areas to the north <br />of Lebanon Road; and <br />(4) The designation of the Back Creek Supply Watershed in the northwest <br />corner of the Township as a Protected Watershed Area. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />. --..~ <br />
