Bingham Township Land Use Plan Update (Area outside of University Lake/New Hope Creek Basins) The presentation was made by Planner Brad Torgan. The amendment is treated as two separate items in the' agenda because a portion of the Township lies within the Joint Planning Area. For presentation purposes, however, the amendment is treated as a single entity. The Orange County Board of Commissioners adapted the current Land Use Plan, now the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan, for the County in September 1981. As part of the ongoing process of refining the Plan, the Commissioners specified a five year plan update schedule upon adoption of the original Plan. The Bingham Township Plan amendments continue a process that began with revisions to the Little River Township Plan in 1981. Considerable effort has been made to inform and involve as many of the Township's residents as possible, as well as other interested parties, in the process of updating the Plan.
