The wide array of <br />lifelong learning opportunities available locally enriches the lives of county <br />citizens. These offerings give residents the chance to sharpen their <br />professional skills, learn new skills, expand their cultural horizons, and enjoy <br />a variety of leisure activities. <br />Equally important to helping people get the most out of their lives and contribute positively to <br />society are lifelong learning and adult education opportunities that provide literacy education, <br />adult basic education, English as a Second Language (ESL) and citizenship education for all <br />residents who need or can benefit from such programs. <br />
