6. On April 12, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners approved the receipt of $54,000 in <br />Federal Homeland Security funds. These grant funds will cover Orange County's costs of <br />preliminary analysis and consulting services related to the planned upgrades to the County's <br />communications system. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of $54,000 in <br />grant funds. (See Attachment 4, State Homeland Security Grant Project Ordinance and <br />Attachment 5, EMS Grants Inventory) <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. <br />RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approve the attached budget ordinance and grant project ordinance amendments. <br />
