~~ <br />categories of public and private uses. <br />Article 2.2.13 of the Zoning Ordinance, if <br />amended, would provide that the Board of <br />Commissioners, upon receipt of a recommended <br />Comprehensive Plan or portions thereof from <br />the Planning Board, adopt them by resolution. <br />The OrancLe County Land Use Plan adopted on <br />September 2, 1981 as amended, fulfills the <br />purpose and intent of the Land Use Element o~ <br />the Comprehensive Plan. Adoption of the <br />attached draft resolution would implement the <br />Zoning Ordinance amendments through re- <br />adoption and designation of the Oran e Count <br />Land Use Plan as the Land Use Element of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />The Planning Staff recommends adoption of the <br />draft resolution. (An attachment to these <br />minutes on page ). <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Halkiotis to refer this item to <br />the Planning Board for recommendation to the <br />Commissioners on April 4. <br />Vote: Unanimous. <br />b. .Designation and incorporation of the Master <br />Recreation & Parks Plan as the Recreation <br />Element of the Comprehensive Plan <br />The staff presentation was made by Gene Sell. <br />This item is to receive citizen comment on a <br />proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan <br />which would designate the Master Recreation <br />and Parks Plan as the Recreatio Element of <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Proposed amendments to Articles 2.2.12 through <br />2.2.14 of the Zoning Ordinance would re-define <br />the purpose, intent and method of adoption of <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Article 2.2.12 of the Zoning Ordinance, if <br />amended, would provide that one element of the <br />Comprehensive Plan be a Recreation EleAt <br />which designates a system of areas and public <br />
