She expressed the opinion that the <br />assigning of house numbers would be much mare <br />efficient for the Rougemont area. <br />Chair Marshall asked the County Manager to <br />investigate why orange County assigned a house <br />number far a new home which is served by a <br />Post Office in Durham-. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, <br />seconded by Commissioner Carey, to approve the <br />the Administration's recommendation as presented. <br />Vote: Unanimous. <br />3. Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments <br />a. Comprehensive Plan <br />(1) Article 2 - Administration (Statement of <br />Intent/Amendment Procedures) <br />(2) Article 22 - Definitions (Definition of <br />Comprehensive Plan) <br />The staff presentation by Gene Bell. <br />This agenda item is to receive citizen comment <br />on proposed amendments to Articles 2.2.12 - <br />2.2.14 (Comprehensive Plan) and Article 22 <br />(Definitions) of the Zoning Ordinance. <br />Existing references in the Zoning Ordinance <br />refer to the Comprehensive Plan for the County <br />as the Land Use Plan. While the Land Use Plan <br />has served well as the County's Comprehensive <br />Plan, new issues are emerging which warrant <br />special recognition and study. Among the <br />subjects which have received or are <br />contemplated for such treatment are recreation <br />and parks, open space, housing, utility- <br />services and transportation. <br />
