While the faculty is working at the Orange County Health Department, professional liability insurance coverage wil! be provided by the School of Dentistry with coverage of at least $1 million, per incident, $3 million per year. The malpractice provider carrier is Medical Mutual, PO Box 97968, Raleigh, NC 27624. 6. The Health Department shall provide parrticipating faculty with access to first aid and emergency care for illnesses and incidents occurring on the Health Departments property. The individual faculty member will be responsible for the cost of such care. Faculty who experience an HIV exposure inadent should go to the emergency room at UNC Hospitals for appropriate emergency counseling and treatment 7. This Agreement shall run for a period of six months, from the 1'` day of January, 1998 to the 30~' day of June 1998, and shall be renewable thereafter on an annual basis. 8. This Agreement or its renewals may be terminated at any time without penalty by either party provided that written notice of such termination is furnished to the other party at least 90 days prior to termination. In the event of such termination any payment due shall be prorated to the date of termination. 9. This agreement contains the entire understanding of the parties and shall not be altered, amended or modified, except by an agreement in writing executed by the duly authorized officials of both parties. 10. The laws of North Carolina shall govern the validity and interpretations of the provisions, terms and conditions of this agreement. 11. The Health Department and the University of Norkh Carolina School of Dentistry hereby agree that, in its educational and/or employment practices both parties will not discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability.
