•2 <br />The attached grant application indicates that there is potential of additional COPSFAST positions <br />being awarded to Orange County in future years. There is no guarantee that the County will <br />actually receive additional positions, and approval of the attached grant project ordinance does not <br />commit the Board to approval of any additional positions beyond the existing COPSFAST positions <br />and those proposed in this abstract. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of Commissioners accept <br />the COPSFAST 4 grant and adopt the attached grant project ordinance which authorizes the <br />addition of six full-time equivalent positions, effective December 1, 1997, in the Sheriff's <br />Department. <br /> <br /> <br />
