Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />To whom it may concern, <br />As Co-chair of our county's Nursing Home Advisory Committee, I enthusiastically <br />accept your invitation to address the commissioners on the goals and objectives of our <br />committee for the coming year. My objective will be to briefly outline the responsibilities <br />of our committee and describe some of the challenges we face when carrying.out these <br />responsibilities. In addition, I will encourage the commissioners to consider an amendment <br />passed by the state's General Assembly last year. which allows for the expansion of the <br />number of committee members at the discretion of the county commissioners. Since our <br />committee is made entirely of volunteers; I hope the commissioners will endorse this <br />amendment. Enclosed is a copy of this amendment. The highlighted portion pertains <br />specifically to our committee.
