K. <br />ORANGE COUNTY ADVISORY BOARD ON AGING <br />PROPOSED GOALS FOR 1998-99 <br />Listed below are proposed Advisory Board on Aging goals for FY99. <br />covering July 1, 1998 to June 30, 1999. <br />I. PUBLIC INFORMATION GOAL: To improve the Dept. on Aging `s <br />Community visiibility as an advocate and central information resource. <br />Objective #1: To develop and have on the Orange County's Internet web <br />page an information section on the Dept. on Aging and and <br />Senior Centers by December,1998. <br />II. ADMINISTRATION/PLANNING GOAL: To improve the effectiveness <br />and efficiency of Dept. on Aging Programs. <br />Objective #2: To complete the planning for a permanent facility to house <br />the Chapel Hill Senior Center by December, 1998. <br />Objective #3: To develop the planning process (structure and <br />timeframe) for preparing a required County Aging <br />Services Plan for state funding by the year 2000.(BOCC <br />approval) <br />Objective #4: To establish a Friends organization to support the development <br />and operations of a new Central Orange/Iiillsborough Senior <br />Center. <br />Objective #5: To establish in cooperation with DSS and others a Adult Day <br />Care Center in Central Orange. <br />FN:ABgoals8.doc <br />
