~: <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />HUMAN SERVICES TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY BOARD <br />PROPOSED GOALS FOR 1998-99 <br />Listed below are proposed Transportation Advisory Board goals for FY99 <br />covering July 1, 1998 to June 30, 1999. <br />I. PUBLIC INFORMATION GOAL: To improve the Orange County Public <br />Tranportation's Community visibility as an advocate and central information <br />resource. <br />Objective #1: To develop and have on the Orange County's Internet web <br />page an information section on the OPT: Orange Public <br />Transportation Program by December,1998. <br />Objective #2: To develop and implement a Community Transportation <br />Program marketing campaign for all public by December, <br />1998. <br />Objective #3: To hold an annual Community Transportation Forum(s) in <br />partnership with other transit providers, major employers <br />and human service agencies in order to keep abreast of the <br />changing transportation needs of the community by June, 1999. <br />II. ADMINISTRATION/PLATIIVING GOAL: To improve the effectiveness <br />and efficiency of the Orange Public Transportation in rural Orange. <br />Objective #4: To design Park/Ride lots in rural Orange in order to promote <br />greater ridesharing options. <br />Objective #5: To develop a reliable community-wide employment and public <br />transportation system in cooperation with other providers such as <br />Triangle Transit Authority and Chapel Hill Transit by June 30, <br />1999. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
