z64a <br />WHEREAS, the Berard of Directors of the Authority <br />has requested that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />petition the North Carolina Board of Transportation, pursuant <br />to G.S. 136-63, that those portions of S.R. 1100 and S.R. <br />1116 which will be flooded by the permanent impoundment of <br />the Cane Creek Reservoir be abandoned and closed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />1. That in order to permit the completion of the <br />construction and operation of the permanent Cane Creek <br />Reservoir, and to assure and protect the water quality of the <br />Reservoir, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, pursuant <br />to G.S. 136-63, hereby requests that the North Carolina Board <br />of Transportation abandon and close that portion of S.R. <br />1100, located in Bingham Township, Orange County, N.C., which <br />-~~ begins at its intersection with Cane Creek and runs therefrom <br />in a northwesterly direction a distance of approximately 1600 <br />feet, and which runs therefrom in a southerly direction a <br />distance of approximately 875 feet, and, that the North <br />Carolina Board of Transportation abandon and close that <br />portion of S.R. 1116, located in Bingham Township, Orange <br />County, N.C., which begins at its intersection with Cane <br />Creek and runs therefrom in a northerly direction a distance <br />of approximately 260 feet, and which runs therefrom in a <br />southerly direction a distance of approximately 330 feet, <br />with the limits of the final abandonment and closing of both <br />roads being all portions of each road within and to the <br />3 <br />
