(a) Establishing and Maintenance of a SeniorNet Learning Center (i) Agreement to providing a suitable room with furnishings for the establishment of the Learning Center. (ii) Agreement to maintain the Learning Center for five years commencing on the official opening date of the Center. (iii) Agrees to require SeniorNet membership of participating Seniors. (Scholarships are available.) (b) Staffing and Training (i) Organizing Group shall designate a person to SeniorNet to act as a contact person for SeniorNet; shall meet as requested by SeniorNet with local staff of IBM and Bell South to plan and provide such activities as IBM and Bell South management may reasonably request in order to promote awareness and stimulate use of the Learning Center developed under this Agreement. (ii) Organizing Group shall identify and retain a Center Coordinator on a volunteer basis without compensation. The Center Coordinator will be responsible for organizing classes, recruiting instructors and students, and monitoring Center activities. The Center Coordinator may delegate these responsibilities through the establishment of a SeniorNet Learning Center Council. (iii) Organizing Group shall identify a core group of Senior volunteers and potential instructors who will attend special training in SeniorNet operations and curriculum, given before the official opening of the SeniorNet Learning Center by a SeniorNet staff member. One designated volunteer will attend a national SeniorNet event, expenses to be paid by Organizing Group. (c) SeniorNet Online (i) Organizing Group agrees to provide training in using SeniorNet Online through classes offered at the Learning Center. (ii) Organizing Group will designate a volunteer identified as the Network Advocate to maintain contact with SeniorNet through SeniorNet Online and that designated person will broadcast pertinent information to the Organizing Group and the Center Coordinator.
