Main Street - PO Box 829 <br />Carrboro, NC 27510 <br />Dear Mike: <br />The Board of Commissioners wishes to commend you and the Carrboro Board of <br />Aldermen for the joint mediation process that produced a positive outcome for the <br />Northern Study Area <br />Last evening the Board considered the attached amendment to the Joint Planning <br />Agreement which would provide for development moratoria in the Joint Planning Area . <br />The amendment would provide for the adoption of temporary moratoria to preserve the <br />status quo while developing implementing ordinances for adopted plans or during <br />consideration of new plans and ordinances. The Board of Commissioners asks that you <br />and the Carrboro Board of Aldermen consider the inclusion of this ordinance for the <br />April 8, 1998 Joint Planning Public Hearing. <br />Thank you for your consideration.
