This year, 1998, also marks the 150th <br />Anniversary of the Women's Rights Movement in the United States. The first <br />Women's Rights Convention took place in Seneca Falls, New York, in 1848, and the <br />Declaration of Sentiments issued by that Convention launched a movement that has <br />forever changed this nation and the lives of its women. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): That the Boazd approve the Proclamation and authorize the <br />Chair to sign. <br />
