• Page 2 February 17, 1998 <br />4 <br />I hope this information is helpful. 1 would like to emphasize that an early commitment to funding would <br />be very helpful. Our fund-raising goal is $1.5 m~lion. We have raised $400,000 to date, inducting more <br />than $100,000 pledged by our own board members and staff. We feel that we need to reach half the <br />goal, or $750,000, before moving to the public phase of the campaign, so any commitment we can get <br />now will move us doser to the goal and attract more support. We also are asking Chapel Hill and <br />Carttioro for support. <br />Fnally, we would Gke to extend an invitation to your board to visit the Y and see first-hand our current <br />programming, our plans for the future and the limitations of our existing fadlity.
