Encourage active farmland <br />preservation. <br />Governmental Coordination <br />and Action Required <br />The town's planning <br />jurisdiction over much of the <br />study area was established by <br />the 1987 Joint Planning <br />Agreement between Carrboro, <br />Chapel Hill and Orange <br />County. The agreement is <br />linked to the Joint Planning <br />Area Land Use Plan, adopted <br />in 1987.
