Dyer Letters of 2/16/98 Extension 2595 <br />- Secondary Road Addition Reports <br />- NC DOT Site Vicinity Maps <br />TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br />Hillsborough - 732 -8181 <br />Durham - 688 -7331 <br />Mebane - 227 -2031 <br />Chapel Hill -967-9251 <br />PURPOSE: To consider a petition from NC DOT for approval of the addition of Remington <br />Run in the Brittany Creek Subdivision, Bingham Township & Dawn Drive in the <br />Wilson Place Subdivision, Cedar Grove Township to the State - maintained <br />Secondary Road System. <br />BACKGROUND: The citizens that live along Remington Run and Dawn Drive have petitioned NC <br />DOT to accept the maintenance responsibilities for Remington Run and Dawn <br />Drive. NC DOT has investigated this request (see attached Secondary Road <br />Addition Reports) and have submitted petitions for the addition Remington Run <br />and Dawn Drive to the Board of Commissioners for their review and approval. <br />The Board's decision will be forwarded to the N.C. Board of Transportation for <br />their deliberation on acceptance of the road to the State - maintained Secondary <br />Road System. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the additions of Remington Run and <br />Dawn Drive to the State - maintained Secondary Road System. <br />
