8 <br />We do not think it provides adequate reimbursement for the time of the Town <br />Attomey and Town Manager- These time commitments arc intermittent and are at <br />least partially the result of our existing organization structure and the difficulty involved <br />in managing our joint arrangement. A unified and consolidated organization most <br />Mmly wM not require such a high level of eve involvement. <br />Since the Landfill Fund is operated as an enterprise W we believe that all other costs <br />are fully accounted for within the Landfill Fund Budget <br />We appreciate the involvement of the Board in these issues. We are most willing to answer other <br />questions and discuss whatever matters reinain, or to consider any specific County proposals, m order <br />to resolve the fimue management of solid waste in Orange County. We urge you to move ahead in <br />your dchberatioos so that the important community issues can be resolved. <br />Tune is of the essence. I believe that we will in= real costs, both in dollars and opportunities, if we <br />do not expeditiously settle the governance and solid waste management issues before us.
