The Request fvr Proposal included the following components: <br />- Master planning the 27.5 acre park site (Approved by BOCC 2/3/97 at a cost of <br />$22, 055); <br />- Design development of Phase I construction, based on a budget figure cited by the <br />County; <br />- Construction document preparation; <br />- Assist with bidding as may be necessary; and <br />- Construction administration.. <br />Following interviews with prospective consultants, the Efland Cheeks Community School <br />Park Task Force and the County staff recommended the firm of Woolpert LLP, <br />Charlotte, NC. <br />As referenced above,.. the first phase of work included a site analysis and the <br />development of a master plan for the referenced project. The Board approved a <br />contract for this phase in February, 1997. The results of the site analysis and master <br />plan were presented to the Board on June 3, 1997. <br />The second phase of work included in the original Request for Proposal is the <br />preparation of construction documents, bidding and construction administration of the <br />project. <br />
