Yankaskas <br />CARRBORO PLANNING BOARD <br />Randy Danziger <br />By consensus Dr. Anne Grass was appointed chair person of the <br />Animal Control Task Force contingent upon her approval. <br />Ken Thompson will convene the Long Range Water Management. <br />Strategy Committee and the Reservoir Site Committee. Commissioner <br />Hartwell will chair the meetings until such time as a chair is selected <br />for each committee. <br />ADDED ITEM - REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX <br />Commissioner Willhoit noted that Chapel Hi11 plans to ask for <br />legislation to enact a real estate transfer tax. He pointed out that if <br />the County would proceed at the same time that a formula whereby the <br />money could be shared could be arranged. The money could be earmarked <br />for infrastructure and open space and could also address the issue of <br />equity in the Rural Buffer. He suggested that a public hearing be held <br />so that enabling legislation could be requested. <br />- After further discussion it was decided that a meeting would be held <br />with Chapel Hill to further discuss this item. <br />-- I. EXECUTIVE SESSION - POTENTIAL/PENDING_LITIGATION <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner. <br />.;;,:; Halkiotis to go into Executive Session to discuss potential/pending <br />litigation. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />J. ADJOURNMENT <br />With no further business to come before the Board, motion was made by <br />Chair Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit to adjourn the meeting. <br />The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, March 2, 1987 at 7:30 <br />_p._m. in the Courtroom of the old Courthouse, Hillsborough, North <br />Carolina. <br />Shirley E.
