2 <br />The Town of Chapel Hill has an annual performance agreement with Orange Community <br />Housing Corporation, which includes an annual iwork plan. The 1997 -98 agreement provides a <br />budget of $50,000 from the Town of Chapel Hilli This agreement ends on June 30, 1998. <br />We have worked with the staff of the Corporation to adjust the work plan to what we believe is a <br />manageable level reflecting the priorities of the local governments. Attachment 3 contains a <br />copy of the revised work plan as approved by !the Board of Directors of Orange Community <br />Housing Corporation. Priorities for Chapel Hill Mclude working to design a concept plan for the <br />Scarlette Drive project, developing 32 homes in the Meadowmont subdivision, administering the <br />Urgent Repair Program (a home repair progr�, m for elderly low - income homeowners), and <br />searching for a site for a multifamily rental development. <br />The budget as revised provides a basic budget, for the organization which appears to be the <br />minimum needed to run the organization. We believe the budget is reasonable. <br />The Town's Housing goals and objectives of <br />should participate in a variety of strategies to <br />Chapel Hill's 1989 Strategic Report recomn <br />cooperating with Orange County in the org <br />development corporation.
