BOX 766 SECRETARY <br />Graham, North Carolina 27253 -0766 <br />16 September 1997 <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />Eddie Kirk <br />Orange County Planning Department <br />306E Revere Road <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />919 732 -8181 ERT 2580 <br />SUBJECT: Final Plan Review: State Employees Credit Union <br />(Hillsborough) <br />Dear Mr. Kirk: <br />This office has completed its review of the subject's proposed <br />final plans for compliance with current Department of Transportation <br />minimum construction standards. We wish to advise that the final <br />Plans received at this office on 12 September 1997 are under standby <br />status awaiting revisions. Pursuant to any approval, this office <br />will require the owner /developer to meet the following requirements <br />before starting any construction. <br />I. Prior to any construction of any new access or alteration of any <br />existing access within the right of way, the developer /owner is <br />required to secure a permit with this office. It is the <br />responsibility of the owner /developer to obtain a permit. <br />2. During the construction, it is the responsibility of the <br />owner /developer to provide verification certifying that the <br />roadway surface, drainage, and seeding satisfies the approved <br />design outside the State's right of way. <br />3. When working within the State's right of way, the <br />owner /developer will contact the Graham District Office before <br />each of the following phases: (A) Drainage, (B) Grading, (C) <br />Placement of base, (D) Paving, and (E) Seeding. Failure to <br />notify this office before each phase of construction may justify <br />a verification certified and signed by a professional engineer. <br />5. Any area within the State's right of way and /or easements <br />disturbed during the construction and/or-maintenance shall be <br />repaired to the satisfaction of the District Engineer or his <br />representative. <br />rrs• <br />
