EVALUATION PROCESS. AND RELATED PERSONNEL ACTIONS FOR ELECTED <br />OFFICIALS <br />To approve an evaluation process and adopt the following <br />amendments to the Personnel ordinance: <br />PROCESS <br />(1) Job description,. reflecting primary duties and <br />responsibilities, will be prepared and/or updated by the <br />Register of Deeds and Sheriff with review and approval from <br />the Manager and Chair of the Board; <br />(2) Annual evaluation of their performance shall be <br />conducted jointly by the Manager and Chair of the Board; <br />(3) Recommendations for merit increases for the Register <br />of Deeds and the Sheriff will be forwarded to the Board of <br />Commissioners for their approval. <br />CHANGES TO THE PERSONNEL ORDINANCE <br />Amend Article V, Section 14.o to read: When an employee <br />attains the maximum rate of a salary range for their <br />present position, no further salary increases shall be <br />received unless (1) the position is reclassified; (2) the <br />employee is promoted to another gosition with a higher <br />salary range; (3) the salary range for the present position ~, <br />is increased; or (4) by action of the Board for Elected <br />Officials. <br />Amend Article VII, Section 3.6 to read: The Chair of the `' <br />Board of Commissioners and Manager shall jointly conduct <br />the annual evaluation of the Register of Deeds and the <br />Sheriff. Recommendations for merit increases for the <br />aforementioned Officials shall be forwarded to the Board of <br />Commissioners for approval. <br />5. RESPONSE TO THE UTILITIES COMMISSION <br />To approve the extension of time and authorize the chair to <br />communicate this request to the Utilities Commission. <br />6. TAX LISTING PERIOD EXTENSION - Removed from the consent agenda <br />to be considered as a separate item. <br />7. ADOLESCENT PROGRAM FOR POSITIVE PARENTING AND LIFE ENRICHMENT <br />To endorse the Adolescent Program for Positive Parenting and <br />Life Enrichment Grant and authorize the Chair to sign letters of support. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Hartwell, seconded by <br />Commissioner Carey to approve items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the consent <br />agenda. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />6. TAX LISTING PERIOD EXTENSION <br />Kermit Lloyd explained that because of the bad weather some <br />citizens could not get to the office to list their taxes and suggested <br />extending the listing period through February G, 1987. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by <br />
