This request was presented to the EMS Advisory Council for their review, who found this request to <br />be reasonable and recommended it be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Under NCGS 153A-46, any action related to granting or amending a franchise requires a passing <br />vote by the governing board at two regular meetings. If the Board votes to approve this request, the <br />item would be brought back for consideration of a second reading at the Board's next regular <br />meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the amendment to <br />the franchise and new rate schedule as requested by Johnston Ambulance Service. <br />
