The study <br />will involve an intensive evaluation of the area and assessment of possible preservation options, such as <br />scenic byway designation, open space easements, National Register listing, and local historic district or <br />landmark designation. Examination of the area will include consideration of historic architectural and <br />known archaeological resources. In lieu of intensive archaeological survey, background research will be <br />conducted to determine the possibility that historic archaeological resources exist. The county will hire a <br />consultant who meets the qualifications outlined in 36 CFR 61 to conduct the study. The study will be <br />completed on or before September 30, 1999. <br />
