This three year project, funded
by the Kate B. Reynolds Foundation, ended June 30, 1997. Due to the
success of the Program, UNC Hospitals proposed to fund again the
Wellness Coordinator position through contractual agreement with Orange
County. This will maintain existing programs and assist in implementing
new programs to promote the health and well being of seniors in the
County. The Friends as well as the United Way will also continue to
provide administrative support for this public/private partnership.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Manager recommends approval and the Chair to sign Agreement between
UNC Hospitals and Orange County for the continuation of the Wellness
Program.
FN:\H:\AB80622.DOC
